Some love stories deserve flowers that say everything words cannot. Yuri and Jesse were married on April 12, 2025, at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn. The wedding was subsequently featured in The New York Times. That recognition speaks to everything this day represented.
Yuri arrived with a clear and layered vision. She wanted wedding florals that were bold, color-rich, and full of life. At the same time, the overall look needed to feel modern and refined.
The Ace Hotel Brooklyn is naturally architectural and sleek in its aesthetic. Therefore, the contrast between wild, lush florals and the clean interior became the story itself. That tension is what made every arrangement feel so alive.
Our team worked closely with Yuri over the course of a full year. Victoria led the design process, with ideas exchanged, revised, and elevated along the way. Together, we refined every detail until it felt exactly right. Above all, the goal was personal expression over convention.
The ceremony installation was the centerpiece of the entire day. It was dramatic, immersive, and designed to stop people in their tracks. Yuri shared that she was moved to tears the moment she first saw it. That response is, ultimately, everything our team works toward.
Our approach was decidedly color-forward and rich with texture. Rather than anchoring to a single hue, we drew from a full and expressive palette. As a result, each arrangement carried depth, warmth, and visual narrative.
Each of the 14 round tables received a large, lush centerpiece arrangement. The scale of each piece transformed the room entirely. Furthermore, ceremony florals were thoughtfully repurposed at the sweetheart table. This kept the design cohesive and maximized the couple’s investment beautifully.
A hanging greenery installation draped across the ceiling above the reception space. Consequently, the room felt alive, verdant, and fully enveloped. Every corner of the venue felt considered and complete.
Cocktail hour featured elegant bud florals placed throughout the venue. Meanwhile, custom boutonnières completed the look from every angle. The full list of florals for the day included:
One Team Managing Florals and Logistics TogetherDay-of coordination is available as an add-on to our full floral packages in NYC. For Yuri and Jesse, this pairing proved especially valuable. Because our team handled both the florals and the coordination, every detail was connected. Nothing fell through the cracks.
The wedding included standard reception programming, a Korean pyebaek ceremony, and a large friends’ dance. Nevertheless, every element ran on time or even ahead of schedule. Our team, including floral lead Krystina, managed each moving part with precision and care. Yuri and Jesse felt celebrated, supported, and completely at ease throughout the entire day.
Yuri and Jesse are an LGBTQ couple who planned their wedding with real intention and care. Our team was honored to be part of their story from the very beginning. We believe every love story deserves something genuinely spectacular.
As Yuri shared: “Victoria and her team made us feel so special, like our love story was just as deserving of something spectacular as any other.” Indeed, it was.
The Ace Hotel Brooklyn is one of New York City’s most design-forward wedding venues. Its architectural interiors complement editorial floral work beautifully. Moreover, the space gives florals room to breathe and make a real statement.
If you are planning a wedding at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn, our team would love to connect. We offer full wedding floral services across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and New York City. Day-of coordination is also available as an add-on for couples who want one trusted team handling everything.
